2025 Taiwan Accounting Association Annual Conference

Introduction

With the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, the accounting field is undergoing profound changes. AI applications are no longer limited to enhancing efficiency; they are now bringing unprecedented innovations and challenges to accounting research, practice, and education. In light of this, the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Taiwan Accounting Association is themed “AI in Accounting Education, Practices, and Research” to focus on how AI technology profoundly influences and shapes the future of the accounting field. The conference aims to explore in depth the impacts and developments of AI in the accounting field. Below is an outline of the conference themes:

  • Big Data and Financial Statement Analysis:
      AI algorithms assist researchers in identifying abnormal financial patterns from big data, which can be applied to portfolio management and financial performance forecasting to enhance the accuracy of related decision-making.
  • Accounting Task Automation:
      AI technology is utilized in bookkeeping, tax filing, internal control, and financial statement analysis, improving accuracy and reducing human errors.
  • Audit and Risk Management:
      Through AI-automated audit tools, abnormal transactions and financial risks can be quickly identified, thereby increasing audit efficiency and forensic capabilities.
  • Decision Support and Analysis:
      With natural language processing and AI analysis systems, users of financial statements can extract information from vast amounts of unstructured data (such as financial reports, contracts, news, etc.) to make informed financial decisions and conduct risk assessments.
  • Innovations in Accounting Education:
      Machine learning models, virtual teaching assistants, and intelligent assessment systems help students learn financial statement analysis and forecasting while providing personalized learning experiences.
  • Innovations in Curriculum Design:
      Integrating AI technology into teaching methods brings students closer to practical needs, equipping future accounting professionals with the skills necessary to thrive in an era of intelligence.
  • It is our hope that participants will share experiences, showcase achievements, and exchange ideas to explore the challenges and opportunities of AI applications, collectively seek solutions, and drive further innovation in the field. The conference will be held on November 27th and 28th at National Taiwan University, and we warmly invite academics and practitioners from related fields to actively participate in this grand event.
